Terms of Use — Duplicate Photo Cleaner for Google Photos

Last updated: August 5, 2026

Please read these terms before installing or using the Extension. By installing or using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Extension.

1. What the Extension does

The Extension helps you find likely duplicate photos and videos in your own Google Photos library and suggests which copies you may wish to remove. It operates within your existing, signed-in Google Photos session.

2. You are in control of all deletions

The Extension never deletes anything on its own. It only identifies possible duplicates and pre-selects suggestions. Items are moved only when you review the selection and explicitly confirm. You are solely responsible for the items you choose to remove. When you confirm, selected items are moved to your Google Photos Trash. Based on Google's current behavior, trashed items can generally be restored for approximately 60 days before Google removes them permanently. Restoration and retention are controlled by Google, not the Extension, and may change. Always review your selection before confirming.

3. Suggestions may be imperfect

Duplicate detection relies on automated image comparison and may occasionally group items that are similar but not identical, or miss true duplicates. Treat all results as suggestions to review, not as a guarantee.

4. Provided "as is" — no warranty

The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously compatible with Google Photos, which may change at any time and disrupt or disable functionality.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, photos, or content, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Extension — including deletions you confirm. You use the Extension at your own risk.

6. Pro purchase

The optional Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase processed by a third-party payment provider. Access to Pro features depends on that provider validating your purchase. Refund handling is subject to the payment provider and applicable consumer-protection law. We cannot guarantee indefinite availability of the third-party services or the Google Photos web interface the Extension relies on.

7. Acceptable use

Use the Extension only with Google accounts and libraries you are authorized to manage, and in compliance with Google's applicable terms. Do not use it to access content that is not yours.

8. Not affiliated with Google

Google and Google Photos are trademarks of Google LLC. The Extension is an independent tool and is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Google.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date will reflect changes. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
